The Homer IC

The Homer IC is a VHF-UHF transmitter, capable of sending ASK or PSK modulated signals, with frequency correction of the RF carrier and channel tuning. It is primarily designed for implementation in Cospas-Sarsat beacons. Its programmable frequency synthesizers and ASK modulator allow the ASIC to be reconfigured to meet other beacon requirements. The ASIC is configured and controlled by an external microcontroller via an SPI bus interface and via two pins for PSK and ASK modulations.
